Taber Charity Auction is back!

After a 2 year break due to Covid, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting the auction in person on April 2, 2022

Auction Viewing starts at 4:30pm

Dinner served at 5:30pm

Auction to begin by 7:00pm

Since its inception 27 years ago Taber Charity Auction has proudly hosted the annual auction and through your generosity, and contributions, we have been able to raise almost $2,000,000 and donate proceeds to many worthwhile local groups and projects, that make our community and surrounding area, a better place to be!  Many of these groups rely heavily on the Taber Charity Auction and your support. Some of the groups that we have been lucky to support in the past are:

  • Central School Breakfast Program (average 65 kids fed/day)
  • Taber Handi-Bus
  • Safe Haven Kids Summer Camps
  • MD of Taber Regional Fire Dept.
  • STARS & Halo Air Ambulances
  • Town of Taber Fire Department
  • Alberta Transplant Institute
  • Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Program (supports 50+ PADs in the area)
  • Taber Food Bank
  • TCAPS
  • Cornfest

Supporting these groups and a multitude of other donations to local fundraising efforts and local needs has always been the focus of the Taber Charity Auction, and we cannot do it without your support! That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be holding an in-person auction again this year!!

We are again asking for your support, in hopes that you would be willing to donate merchandise to be auctioned off, or a simple cash donation toward our causes. Keep in mind that no amount is too small, but we are hoping to have one of our best years ever after not being able to hold the event for the last 2 years.  If you can help contribute, we ask that you reach out to a member of our board for further assistance.

History of…

The Taber Charity Auction Group is a non-profit organization. For the past 27 years, we have held a charity auction to raise money for several worthy causes. An accumulated total of almost $2 Million has been donated to STARS, Taber Emergency Services, and other Taber community charities and functions.

The money given to Taber Emergency Service has been put to good use over the years. Examples of purchases are ice rescue equipment, confined space rescue equipment, carbon monoxide monitors, thermal imaging cameras, community public access to AEDs through the (PAD) program. The most current contributions for the community and the town consists of STARS, School Breakfast Program, Kids Summer Camp, Town and MD Fire Departments, HALO, Food Bank, Handi-Bus, TCAPS, Alberta Transplant Institute, and Taber Cornfest.

The Taber and District Businesses have donated generously, and the Auction Buyers have bid very, very generously, making the event the great success it has been.

We are again looking for donations of saleable merchandise for our auction, or cash donations to run our function. As well, you are invited to join us at the auction to socialize and aid our cause.
